Art director and project manager - campaign to recruit new volunteers and thank those that already volunteer  

Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) run an annual campaign to celebrate and thank their vast team of volunteers and encourage new people to come forward to offer their time and help. Due to limited photography, this campaign has typically been graphical based. However, following internal discussion alongside research, I identified that it would be more engaging and eye catching if the charity had great photography of volunteers in the locations where they work as the focus for this campaign. This would make heroes of our existing volunteers, and help potential volunteers envisage themselves in these roles, at the same time as telling the story of the number of different opportunities CHSW has for volunteers.

I project managed the photoshoot, encouraging volunteers to be photographed (a feat in itself), arranging a schedule of shoots that worked for all (including a professional photographer who was volunteering his time for this project), art directing the photoshoot and then designing the various materials that were required by the charity including retail posters, flyers, Social Media content and web assets.
